JoanneConnors-Wade is a native of Massachusetts. She enjoys a challenge and beomes engrossed in extensive research which she believes is the key to credibility within a story whether fiction or non-fiction. Joanne is the mother of three adult children, and the grandmother of four. On November 1, 2007 she moved from her native Massachusetts to Florida where continues to write and promote her books.
UPDATE: December, 2011 she returned to Massachusetts and presently resides in Westfield.

The victim was 16 year old Alyssa Bock. John Fournier , also 16 was convicted and did time. This kid was so wasted he still does not remember anytthing. There were at least 8 other young people who agreed to let John take the rap. John was shoved at Alyssa, who scratched him. He passed out and the girl was strangled. Our Police Chief accepted that in pre DNA 1986; that all that was in the victim's fingernails was John's. John tried to be a punk if goaded. If anyone resisted- This kid backed off and apologized. This boy did not tend toward assault. Not physical nor sexual. His life has been hell. The topper? His mother was sued and of the 8 no nothings- one is his brother! He was the youngest one there and everybody else could be tried as adults. I and one of his teachers know this is wrong.

It has now been 30 yrs. Since the death of alyssa s. Boch. Which made me think of her and wanting to read some old articles came across this.... who ever wrote that B.S. does not know what she's talking about , I was a friend of hers and spent time at her house and class mate of john.. hung out with his twin brothers ect... I know the real story they got the right person!!!

DeleteSo, because her and her teenage friends were bullies, that justifies murder? Most of us were not “angels” at 16. I wasn’t even born when this happened but she was a very good friend of my mothers and majority rules that this guy did it. Regardless of what happened, please honor her memory all of these years later and don’t publish stupid propaganda or negative comments about the deceased. It makes me sad as it is that there is no obituary or indicating records of Alissa. Please also fix your grammar and spelling. Easthampton schools couldn’t have been THAT bad back then.
